Wide 4K coverage plus a closer view of the road ahead.
The VIOFO A329T 2CH pairs a wide 4K front camera with a 2K telephoto camera that gives a narrower, closer view of the road ahead. The front records at up to 60FPS with HDR off, and the telephoto records at 30FPS. Choose it when distant detail ahead matters alongside the wider road scene. Built-in GPS, fast Wi-Fi 6 and optional portable SSD recording make everyday recording and file access easier.
Both cameras face forward. There is no rear or cabin camera. A front CPL-200 filter, a dual USB-C car charger and an 18-month manufacturer warranty are included. A memory card or SSD, the VIOFO SSD cable, a hardwire kit, a telephoto CPL-600 filter and the remote are sold separately. Automatic parking recording needs a VIOFO HK4 or HK6 hardwire kit.
Key features
-
4K front at 60FPS or 30FPS with HDR: an 8MP Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor and 140° lens. Choose 60FPS for smoother motion, or 30FPS with HDR when bright and dark areas mix.
-
2K telephoto view: a 5MP Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor behind a fixed F2.0, 35° lens. VIOFO describes it as 4× optical zoom relative to the wide view; it is not a motorized zoom.
-
Wi-Fi 6: connect a nearby phone over 2.4GHz or 5GHz to preview, change settings and download clips in the VIOFO app.
-
microSD or portable SSD storage: record to a microSD card up to 512GB or a compatible portable SSD up to 4TB.
-
Five parking modes: buffered event, time-lapse, low-bitrate, low-power impact and hybrid recording with a compatible hardwire kit.
-
GPS and voice control: the mount adds location, speed and time to footage, and voice commands can lock a video or take a photo.
Understand the telephoto view
The telephoto lens concentrates on a smaller area ahead, so aim it carefully and check daylight and nighttime recordings after installation. Its narrow view can miss events outside the center of the road, so review it alongside the wide front footage. Readable license plates are not guaranteed; speed, distance, light, glare and alignment all affect results.
The telephoto camera is supplied for forward mounting. Moving it to the rear window needs a compatible 6m telephoto cable, sold separately.
Parking recording and power
Automatic parking mode needs a VIOFO HK4 or HK6 hardwire kit connected through the GPS mount's power port. Choose HK6 for the vehicle-voltage display and voltage-based hybrid switching.
- Buffered event recording saves 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after detected activity.
- Time-lapse records continuously at a low frame rate without audio; 1FPS supports Night Vision.
- Low-bitrate mode records continuous video and audio in smaller files.
- Low-power impact mode waits in standby, wakes in about two seconds after an impact and records for one minute, extending to three minutes with further activity.
- Hybrid mode starts in event, time-lapse or low-bitrate mode, then switches to impact standby at a set time or voltage.
Hybrid and low-power impact modes save to microSD only, and standby has no pre-impact buffer. Up to three parking geofence zones can turn the camera off at chosen locations. Runtime depends on the power source, cutoff settings, temperature and mode.
Storage and connectivity
Choose one recording destination: a high-endurance microSD card up to 512GB, or a portable SSD up to 4TB with the dedicated VIOFO SSD cable. The camera does not record to both at once. Format an SSD to exFAT and keep it away from heat; VIOFO recommends 32°F to 140°F (0°C to 60°C) for SSD use.
Privacy mode keeps only the latest four ordinary files in this two-camera setup. Wi-Fi is a local camera-to-phone connection. There is no built-in LTE or cloud service for remote viewing, live tracking or parking push alerts.

Setup and firmware notes
Power the camera through the GPS mount with the included charger and its matched power cable. The short USB-C data cable is for file transfer, not camera power or SSD recording. A socket that switches off with the ignition stops powering the camera, so use a hardwire kit for parking recording.
Clean the windshield and lenses, aim both forward cameras and check test recordings before finalizing installation. Use A329T firmware only, update through microSD rather than an SSD, back up recordings and settings first, and recheck both channels, audio, HDR, storage and parking afterward. Current releases reset settings and advise against downgrading.
