This Umbrauto back seat air mattress turns the rear bench of a car, truck or SUV into a flat place to rest on road trips, at rest stops or while camping. It measures about 49.2 in long and 29.5 in (75 cm) wide, sits 6.2 in thick and is rated for up to 600 lb.

It is sized for mid- to full-size back seats, and the supplier also shows it used in the rear cargo area of many SUVs.

This package includes the mattress, two pillows, two inflatable piers that fill the gap in front of the rear seat, and a 12V air pump. The pump plugs into your vehicle's 12V (cigarette lighter) socket. It does not include a battery pack or a wall adapter.

Fit and sizing

Measure your rear bench before ordering. At 29.5 in wide, this bed is meant for mid- to full-size back seats. Fold the front seats forward and slide them up for the most room.

Use and care

New air mattresses stretch during the first few uses, so the bed can feel softer the next morning even when nothing is leaking. Top it up to full again and repeat for the first two or three nights while the material settles.

Wipe the flocked surface with a damp cloth and let it dry before folding it into the bag.

Setup notes

Inflate the piers first and set them in the footwell, then lay the mattress on the seat and inflate it. Do not use the mattress while the vehicle is moving; occupants should always be seated and belted while driving.

Run the engine or use a separate power station if you inflate for long periods so you do not drain the vehicle battery.
