Keep a record of the road ahead and behind with the Thinkware Q200 2CH dash cam. A compact, screen-free front camera records in 2K QHD, while the included rear camera captures Full HD footage. Both record at 30FPS, with nearby phone access for setup, playback and downloads.
This is the front-and-rear kit, not the separate cabin-camera bundle. It includes a 32GB microSD card, external GPS antenna, hardwiring cable and cigarette-lighter power cable. Wi-Fi is a local connection, not remote Cloud viewing.
Why choose the Thinkware Q200?
-
Two road views: Capture 2560 × 1440 front video and 1920 × 1080 rear video at 30FPS. The supplied 6m rear-camera cable gives you approximately 20ft for routing.
-
Front-camera night enhancement: Super Night Vision 2.0 brightens front footage during driving, parking or both. It does not apply to the rear camera, and lighting, speed and installation still affect readable detail.
-
Convenient phone review: Bluetooth-assisted pairing and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connect a compatible iPhone or Android phone to Thinkware Dash Cam Link.
-
Configurable parking recording: Choose buffered Motion Detection, 2FPS Time Lapse or impact-triggered Energy Saving with a suitable parking-power installation.
-
GPS included: The external antenna adds speed and location information and supports regional safety-camera alerts and audible driving warnings.
-
Room to expand: A compatible optional Thinkware Multiplexer Box supports up to five cameras total. Additional camera views are combined into one video file while the front camera records separately.
Parking recording: choose the right mode
Use the included hardwiring cable or a compatible Thinkware OBD power cable for parking recording. The supplied cigarette-lighter cable is intended for driving use. Configure battery protection and the off timer for your vehicle.
-
Motion Detection: Saves a 20-second clip with 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after detected motion or impact.
-
Time Lapse: Records at 2FPS for an accelerated overview of a longer period.
-
Energy Saving: Waits for an impact, then begins a 20-second recording within about one second after detection. It does not capture the lead-up to the impact.
The Q200 uses video motion detection and an impact sensor, not radar-assisted wake-up. Smart Parking Recording offers thermal protection and a long-time recording setting. The camera may reduce operation to impact-only recording or shut down to protect itself.
There is no guaranteed parking runtime. Power source, battery condition, temperature, mode, settings and camera count all matter. Battery protection does not guarantee that every vehicle battery will retain enough starting power.
Local app access and saving footage
Use Thinkware Dash Cam Link on a compatible phone to check live view, adjust settings and download recordings while nearby. Bluetooth assists pairing; footage access uses the camera's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Your phone does not need to stay connected for normal recording.
The Q200 has no cellular modem or remote Cloud viewing. Stop safely before using the app. Recordings are stored on the camera's microSD card while it is powered.
A 32GB card with adapter is included; compatible 64GB, 128GB and 256GB cards are also supported. Recording modes use different card folders and memory allocations. Changing parking settings can delete earlier parking files, so back up important footage first. Formatting also requires saving important clips beforehand.
Press REC to save a one-minute clip covering 10 seconds before and 50 seconds after the press. Download important clips to keep a separate copy before footage can be overwritten.
GPS alerts and optional camera expansion
GPS is not built into the camera body. Connect the included external antenna to the GPS socket for speed and location data, regional speed-camera and red-light-camera alerts, and supported lane departure, forward collision and front vehicle departure warnings. Keep the safety-camera database current and configure installation position and sensitivity.
These are audible driving aids only; the camera does not steer or brake. For additional views, confirm a compatible Multiplexer Box configuration before ordering. The multiplexer, its cable and extra cameras are sold separately; five cameras are not included in this package.

Installation and setup notes
Mount the front camera clear of the driver's view and check its angle in the app. Measure the rear cable's planned route along the headliner and trim, allowing room at both connectors and any hatch hinge. Use a vehicle-appropriate power installation and verify both camera views after setup.
The supercapacitor helps the camera finish saving a file during shutdown. It is not a battery for ongoing recording without external power. Use Q200-specific documentation and firmware; app features can vary by camera and firmware. If comparing a front-only alternative, the smaller Thinkware F70 Pro records in Full HD and cannot accept a rear camera.
