NIKO Easy Wash Children's Car Seat Cover, Gray Terrycloth

Towel-soft terrycloth car seat cover for swim days and spills

The NIKO Easy Wash Children's Car Seat Cover slips over your child's forward-facing car seat like a fitted sheet, catching crumbs, spills and potty-training accidents so you can pull it off and toss it in the washer instead of scrubbing the seat itself. This one is light gray cotton/poly terrycloth with a small circle print.

The terrycloth version is a blend of 80% cotton for absorbency and 20% polyester for stretch. NIKO designed it for swimmers, beach days and rainy climates, and calls it its all-season fabric.

This listing is one washable cover for a forward-facing child car seat. The car seat is not included. NIKO designs it for the forward-facing stage. Many families keep a second cover so one is ready while the other is in the wash.

Key features

• Universal forward-facing fit: stretchy fabric and a double-stitched elastic border fit most forward-facing seats from Graco, Britax, Evenflo, Clek, Chicco, Maxi-Cosi, Safety 1st, Cosco, UPPAbaby and Peg Perego, plus most Diono and Nuna models.
• Water-resistant seat panel: the seat area is lined to help protect against juice spills and potty-training accidents.
• Machine washable: machine wash and dry, then put it back on in seconds.
• Four pockets: two pockets on each side keep snacks, a sippy cup and small toys within reach.
• Works with cup holders and harnesses: side openings with snaps keep built-in cup holders usable, and two buckle openings suit different buckle positions.

The water-resistant lining covers the seat area only. The back panel is left breathable for comfort, so wet swimsuits and spills are best caught on the seat.

Safety and materials

NIKO states the cover has been safety tested by Calspan, an independent testing lab, and is made without harmful chemicals such as flame retardants. The cover goes over the seat; the car seat's own harness still threads through the slots in the back panel and buckles directly against your child.

Some car seat makers advise against aftermarket covers or accessories. Check your car seat's manual before installing any cover.
